§ 1-9. Fines and costs.

(a)

All fines and costs collected under the terms of this Code and other county ordinances shall be paid over to the county treasurer and credited by him to the general county fund.

(b)

An assessment of $4.00, as part of the costs incident to each civil action filed in the courts located within the county, shall be imposed for the establishment and maintenance of a law library. The assessment shall be collected by the clerk of the court in which the action is filed and remitted to the county treasurer.

(c)

An assessment of $2.00, as a courthouse construction and maintenance fee, shall be imposed on each civil action and on each criminal and traffic case in the district and circuit courts. The assessment shall be collected by the clerk of the court in which the action is filed and remitted to the county treasurer.
