§ 2-293. Clerk for the board of supervisor.

In accordance with 1950 Code of Virginia, § 15.2-1538, as amended, the board shall appoint a clerk for the board who shall serve at the pleasure of the board and shall perform the responsibilities of a clerk as provided by state law and such other responsibilities as directed by the board. The board shall evaluate the performance of the clerk annually and provide for appropriate compensation within the approved budget.
