§ 34-31.4. Service fees for multiple false alarms.

(a)

The owner or tenant of any structure protected by an alarm system shall pay a service fee for false alarms from such structure or device. Such fee shall be calculated based on the number of false alarms during each calendar year:

(1)

First and second .....$0.00

(2)

Third and fourth .....$50.00

(3)

Fifth and above .....$100.00

(b)

No service fee will be assessed if the dispatch request is cancelled prior to a county unit arriving at the scene. The United States of America and the Commonwealth of Virginia are exempt from service fees.
