§ 34-73. Fees, charges and subscription program.

(a)

The county administrator or his designee is authorized to establish fees for emergency ambulance transport services by the county department of fire and emergency medical services.

(b)

The county administrator or his designee is authorized and directed to establish rules and regulations for the administration of the charges imposed by this section, including, but not limited to, a subscription program for county residents and payment standards for those persons who demonstrate economic hardship, as permitted by applicable law, including the proviso that all qualified volunteer fire personnel, unpaid emergency medical services volunteers, and auxiliary police will receive consideration.
