§ 6-7. Abandonment.

  • (a)

    The term "abandonment," for the purposes of this section, is defined as deserting, forsaking or intending to absolutely give up an animal without securing another owner or without providing the necessities set out in section 6-13.

    (b)

    No person shall abandon any animal in the county.

    (c)

    Violations of this section shall be punishable as a class 3 misdemeanor.
