§ 70-110. Adoption, amendment, and recordation of this ordinance.
(a)
The commission shall prepare and recommend the subdivision ordinance and transmit it to the board. The board shall approve and adopt a subdivision ordinance only after notice has been published, and a public hearing held, in accordance with Code of Virginia, § 15.2-2204.
(b)
The commission may, or at the request of the board shall, prepare and recommend amendments to the subdivision ordinance. The procedure for amendments shall be the same as for the preparation, recommendation, approval and adoption of the original ordinance; provided that no amendment shall be adopted by the board without a referral of the proposed amendment to the commission for recommendation, or until 60 days after such referral, if no recommendation is made by the commission.
(c)
When the subdivision ordinance has been adopted or amended, a certified copy of the ordinance and any and all amendments thereto shall be filed in the office of the county administrator, and in the clerk's office of the Prince George County Circuit Court.
