§ 78-16. Adoption of state law for the removal, storage, disposition and sale of immobilized, abandoned and unattended motor vehicles.

  • Pursuant to the provisions of Code of Virginia, § 46.2-1313, all of the provisions and requirements of the laws of the state relative to the removal of abandoned, inoperative and immobilized motor vehicles contained in chapter 12 of title 46.2 of the Code of Virginia (Code of Virginia, § 46.2-1200 et seq.), except Code of Virginia, § 46.2-1212 and those sections which by their very nature can have no application within the county, are hereby adopted and made a part of this chapter as fully as though set out and are hereby made applicable within the county. Reference therein to "highways of the state" shall be deemed to refer to the highways within the county. It shall be unlawful for any person, within the county, to violate or fail, neglect or refuse to comply with any section of the Code of Virginia which is adopted by this section.
