§ 78-6. Violations.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to violate any of the provisions of this chapter, and unless otherwise stated such violations shall constitute traffic infractions punishable by a fine of not more than that provided for a class 4 misdemeanor under Code of Virginia, § 18.2-11.

    (b)

    Whenever a specific penalty is provided in the Code of Virginia for the violation of any section of the Code of Virginia adopted by reference by section 78-2, the penalty for a violation of such section, charged on a county warrant, shall be the same as provided by state statute.
