§ 82-235. Deposits.

Persons applying for utility service may be required to place a deposit in an amount to be determined by the director to be necessary in consideration of anticipated water consumption for up to two billing periods. The deposit shall be held by the county as surety, without interest, so long as the service is continued. When service is discontinued, the deposit shall be applied to the final bill; any excess deposit will be refunded.
