§ 82-503. Residential wastewater user charges.

Latest version.
  • (a)

Wastewater charges shall be assessed against residential users, including single-family and multifamily residences, condominiums, townhouses, motels, hotels and trailer and mobile home parks, based on the volume of wastewater contributed to the system. If the premises are served by the county water system, the volume shall be determined by reading customer water meters. Premises not served by a metered public or private water system shall pay a rate as shown in the schedule using the equivalent service meter size and the average water consumption of the department's similar usage type customers. Where dual or multiple water meters are installed, user charges shall be based on total water consumption. Large users such as apartment complexes and mobile home parks may have the volume of wastewater determined by installing, at their own expense, wastewater meters acceptable to the department.

    (b)

Residential wastewater user charges shall be based and assessed upon service districts as follows and shall be served in accordance to the fee schedule set forth in section 82-537.
